Clare tourism operators united to address sector challenges in the second ever networking event of its kind this Wednesday, March 6.

Tourism interests from across Clare gathered at The Inn At Dromoland for the annual ‘Tourism Together’ Networking Event 2024.

Among much discussion, the urgent need for increased collaboration and the development of new initiatives to boost the private tourism sector in the county were key points outlined during the event.

Challenges facing the Clare tourism sector and indeed, the country as a whole, include the short accommodation supply. 

The latest figures in Clare show that 33% of bed nights have been charted by the government to deal with the current number of people seeking asylum, in response to the current refugee crisis.
