East County Food Pantry hosts fundraiser in Fairview [Video]

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – As part of Fox 12′s Hunger Free Project in collaboration with Fred Meyer to help feed families in the community, the East County Food Pantry in Fairview, provides food every Saturday at the Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church.

But this year, it will look a little different. For the first time this year, the pantry is having A ‘Walk For Your Neighbor’ 5K fundraiser on Labor Day, September 2, 2024. It will be held at Fairview Community Park and the 5k is designed for all ages.

“To get the whole community together to walk for your neighbor side-by-side and support them not only raises money but also creates a community where we care for each other,” said Reverend Doctor Brad Busiek.
