Marilyn Williams and Alvin Williams were arrested for cruelty to an animal/torture.
BIG SPRING, Texas — Two people in Big Spring were arrested on Monday morning in an animal cruelty investigation, according to a Big Spring Police Department press release.
Officers and the Big Spring Animal Control were called to the Crossroads Animal Development located in the 200 block of NE 7th because two people witnessed animal cruelty.
When officers arrived, witnesses told BSPD that a man, later identified as 64-year-old Alvin Williams, was operating a Ford F-150 pickup while a woman, later identified as 67-year-old Marilyn Williams, was holding a leash while dragging a German Shepherd behind the vehicle.
According to BSPD, witnesses honked at the vehicle and the pickup stopped. Then, the witnesses tried to provide care to the dog.
