RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Wags and Waves invited water-loving dogs to Sioux Pool Sept. 3, from 4-6 pm. The Humane Society relies heavily on volunteers and donations from the community.
Executive Director Jerry Steinley made a statement to the community earlier this month asking the community to help in any way they can.
“You can help by adopting, committing to be an annual corporate partner, sponsor for events/medical cases, donate, donate in-kind items, volunteer, or even donate to various HSBH programs like “Continuing Education” for staff development,” his statement read.
The money raised from ticket sales to Wags and Waves will help the shelter continue to care for the nearly 4,000 animals they intake yearly.
“It’s a huge blast it gets bigger and better every year. we see more than three hundred dogs at this event every year. So we’re grateful to the city for giving us another opportunity to host our 9th annual,” said Caitlin …
