MOAB, Utah — The National Park Service said authorities are searching for a missing 76-year-old French man in Arches National Park.
He has been identified as 76-year-old Francis Userovici.
According to a press release, park rangers became aware of an abandoned rental vehicle on August 23 at Sand Dune Arch trailhead. They believe it entered Arches National Park on the morning of Aug. 16.
Userovici was last seen by his family on Aug. 13, per the NPS. He is about 5′ 6″ and has short grey hair. Additionally, the missing hiker wears glasses and may have a small red Nikon camera with him.
A ground search began on August 24. Other agencies including Grand County Search and Rescue and the Moab Interagency Fire Center are now involved in the search.
