Man rams Bibb patrol vehicle ‘head on’ during chase, arrested [Video]

They say Matthew Eric Harper, 42, was driving south on Broadway at around 9 p.m. Saturday when he passed a deputy. They say he failed to dim his high-beam headlights, and they learned he had canceled registration and no insurance.

When deputies attempted to stop him, they say Harper fled and led deputies on a chase.

During the chase, Harper rammed a patrol vehicle head-on and then ran away, but deputies were able to arrest him immediately afterward, according to the press release.

The crash appeared to have happened near the intersection of Broadway and Moreland Avenue, based on photos posted on the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
