Area hospital celebrates International Dog Day with humane society donation [Video]

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – An area hospital has made quite a paw-sitive impact in the community.

TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital celebrated International Dog Day on Monday by donating nearly 500 items to the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society, according to Brittany Bennett, the hospital’s director of communications and community engagement.

The hospital challenged all of its departments to see who could collect the most donations for the cause, resulting in a total of 428 items collected by the end of the competition on August 23.

These items included some of BGWCHS’s most needed donations, such as laundry detergent, bleach, disinfecting wipes and small animal treats, the hospital said.
