The organization said it was “thrilled” to find a space that is emblematic of the rich architectural heritage of the west end.
OneWest will now be located at 43rd and West Broadway, an 8,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by the Center for Women and Families.
“We were so thrilled to find a new space that not only allows our staff to better collaborate but is also emblematic of the rich architectural heritage of the West End,” Evon Smith, president and CEO of OneWest, said. “The building was constructed in 1912 by Anton Diebold, a partner in a stone contracting company. It is styled after a Greek temple and is complete with columned porticos. For many years, it was best known as home to the West End Branch of the Y.W.C.A.”
