Drone footage taken on Saturday (August 24) showed severe flooding in an eastern Bangladesh town as monsoon rains continued to inundate parts of the South Asian nation. The death toll has risen to at least 18, with over three million people stranded as of Sunday (August 25), according to local authorities. The most affected districts in Bangladesh included Feni, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Comilla and Chittagong, where five major rivers were flowing above danger levels, the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre said. Road connectivity in several regions was severed, isolating communities and hampering relief efforts, disaster management and relief officials said.
