Keep Omaha Beautiful is excited to pair with Mulhalls Garden + Home on an initiative to help restore the city’s tree canopy.
Widespread damage to hundreds of trees has occurred because of storms this spring and summer.
To support the recovery, Mulhalls will donate $10 for every tree sold through Sept. 1 to Keep Omaha Beautiful’s “Trees for Tomorrow” initiative.
“This is a wonderful fundraising opportunity for us,” communications manager Maddy Wahl said. “The funding from trees sold at Mulhalls during this special promotion will help fund KOB’s ongoing initiative.”
Keep Omaha Beautiful is planting thousands of diverse trees in public spaces throughout Omaha, including parks, trails and right of ways. They are planning some planting events for this fall.
