Redding seeks public input on future of Sacramento Riverfront | News [Video]

REDDING, Calif. – In April 2023, the city of Redding began a community-led project to help determine the Redding Riverfront Specific Plan. Several public workshops were held earlier this year and now the public has an opportunity to participate online.

An interactive survey has been created that allows users to see some of the potential developments and improvements for the 380-acre riverfront. People even have the opportunity to place pins on a map where they would like to see development take place. Some of the ideas for the riverfront include outdoor music venues, improvements to current facilities like the Redding Civic Center, and the creation of a whitewater recreation area. 

The survey will remain open until September 3 and the collected data will be used to help draft a plan that will determine the long-term future of the Redding Riverfront. The survey can be found here.
