New program honors late Gonzaga student by offering students rides [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. – A new ‘Get Home Safe’ ride program offering students free nighttime rides launches at Gonzaga University this year.

The program honors the memory of Diego Garza, a Gonzaga student while driving back to campus.

hope that the program both highlights their son’s impact on the Zags community and keeps students safe.

“We want to give back to the community that helped us so much during our deepest moments of grief,” Brooke Garza said.
