The search is on for a man has been missing for several days at Glacier National Park in Montana.
Searches are underway for climber Grant Marcuccio, 32, who was hiking from Heavens Peak to McPartland Peak on Sunday, Aug. 18, when he was reported missing, according to a press release from the National Park Service.
Authorities said that Marcuccio “separated from his party” while hiking and was last seen heading towards McPartland Mountain. After he “did not arrive to the rendezvous spot as planned,” rangers were notified of his disappearance the same evening.
Both mountains are over 8,000 feet in elevation with Heavens Peak being 8987 feet and McPartland Peak at 8413 feet.
Officials say that there have been multiple Bear Air aviation searches for the hiker, as well as searches conducted by rangers and search teams. The aviation team first flew over the Heavens Peak area to search for him on Monday, Aug. 19 and then again on Tuesday, …
