An undercover officer met with the suspect, who allegedly said he would pay the officer for the chance to have sex with a 13-year-old.
ALTOONA, Iowa — An Urbandale man was arrested Wednesday following a human trafficking investigation, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
69-year-old Kevin Charles Lind faces the following charges:
- Human Trafficking
- Solicitation of Commercial Sexual Activity
- Enticing Minor Under 16
- Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony
The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force (MINE) received information that Lind was soliciting for an opportunity to have sex with a minor, the sheriff’s office said. An undercover officer met with Lind, who allegedly said he would pay the officer for the chance to have sex with a 13-year-old.
Lind gave the officer money and agreed to meet at a secondary location. When Lind arrived at the location, he was arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail.
