Waterloos Lost Island Themepark Teases New Roller Coaster [Video]

National Rollercoaster Day was on Friday, August 16th this year.

In honor of this holiday, Waterloo’s Lost Island Themepark made an exciting announcement about a major development for the Eastern Iowa park.

Next year, there will be a brand-new rollercoaster, and it will be a first for the entire state!

Lost Island Waterpark and Themepark have become a big draw to the Cedar Valley for many locals and tourists alike.

The waterpark had already been a popular fixture in Eastern Iowa when construction on the theme park began in 2019. After several years of development, the theme park officially opened in June 2022.

Major Developments in Mid-August

Officials from the Waterloo theme park announced that a new coaster is in the works. The news came out at the American Coaster Enthusiasts Preservation Conference.

Lost Island Themepark will be premiering a new coaster, the Fire Runner in 2025.
