MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County leaders are looking to provide opportunities to support youth and parents Tuesday through a virtual social justice panel discussion.

The event will feature community engagement leaders and youth advocates talking about the importance of family support and youth. The event is Shelby County Commissioner Erika Sugarmon’s next installment of her monthly social justice series, titled “Respect for Parents.” 

This month’s event will via Facebook on Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 6-7 p.m.  The public can talk with experts, share experiences and hear about opportunities to support family.

The panel’s community leaders will include April Carter, a nonprofit leader, Brian Harris, a youth director, and Dr. Stephanie Hill, a youth development leader.
