Woman struck and killed by car in Fall River, DA says [Video]

A woman was killed Friday night in Fall River when she was struck and killed by a car, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.

Fall River resident Donalda Ferreira was hit near 278 President Ave. by a Chevrolet Sonic being driven by a 42-year-old Fall River woman around 9:05 p.m., the district attorney’s office said in a press release. The driver stayed the the scene and was not impaired.

The driver also cooperated with police and was not arrested, the district attorney’s office said. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
