Kalen DeBoer talks injuries, camp battles after Alabama footballs 2nd scrimmage [Video]

Alabama football held its second and final scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday, and coach Kalen DeBoer will speak with reporters afterward at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The Crimson Tide is two weeks away from opening its season at home under the lights against Western Kentucky, which will be DeBoer’s first game as coach after he replaced Nick Saban in January. Alabama is fresh off a season having reached the College Football Playoff and will look to do so again this season as the playoff expands to 12 teams.

DeBoer spoke with reporters at about noon. Here are some of the highlights of what he said.

• DeBoer called it “another really productive scrimmage.”
• DeBoer said the defense did a good job against the run early.
