Anyone who sees the objects on Fremont roadways is asked to contact the police department at 419-332-6464 to safely remove them.

FREMONT, Ohio — Drivers in Fremont should pay close attention to the road in front of them. The city’s police department says razor blades have been found on the streets.

Fremont police in a social media post Friday afternoon said the razor blades may have come from a local scrap yard that lost its load while in transit throughout the city and that they “are working with the company for possible resolution and handling the matter appropriately.”

Officers and staff with the city’s street department have been combing roadways to find razor blades. Fremont police ask that anyone who sees debris on streets contact the department to safely remove it — its non-emergency phone number is 419-332-6464.

“If you or someone you know has tire damage while traveling in our city you may file a police report with us by calling 419-332-6464,” the department said.
