NASCAR weekend forecast: Rain likely to disrupt plans [Video]

If you’re planning on heading to Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn, Michigan this weekend as NASCAR comes to town, you’ve likely heard about the not-so great forecast. Rain is likely for much of the weekend which could cause delays/postponements of different events. I’ll break down the details here.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, with the main event, the Cup Series race on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. With a pesky low pressure system moving directly through the state, unsettled weather will be the common theme for the weekend.

Saturday morning, most areas may be dry. However, as we approach late morning and into the afternoon, rain coverage is expected to increase.
