Nightfall 2024: Old Tucson releases details on this year’s Halloween experience [Video]

Old Tucson Studios has announced the return of its annual Halloween event, Nightfall, set to begin on September 27th, marking its 32nd edition.

This year’s theme, “Reign of Terror,” introduces Mary Hyde, a new female villain, promising heightened terror and new haunted attractions.

“We are definitely leaning into this being a more intense experience for horror fans,” said Natalie Eleftheriadis, Marketing Manager for Old Tucson. “But it’s still a family-friendly event, with plenty of shows and attractions for everyone.”

Nightfall will feature 11 scare zones, including the new “Dabney’s Funhouse,” a twisted carnival experience.

Returning favorites like the Grand Palace musical, stunt shows, and a unique seance experience at the McClintock Little Theatre will also be part of the lineup.

Eleftheriadis noted that the event has expanded its food and beverage offerings, including a pizza restaurant and a re-addition from the past: the much-loved turkey legs.
