You may have heard of ‘Ricezempic’ and ‘Ozempic Face’, but have you heard of ‘Cortisol Face’?

It seems like every day there’s a new health and beauty trend doing the rounds on TikTok, and the latest viral take is that those experiencing puffiness and bloating in the face may in fact have high stress levels.

That’s right – self-proclaimed TikTok experts say high cortisol levels are to blame for ballooning, and are suggesting all sorts of things to remedy the issue.

It’s all well and good to adopt a new makeup or skincare routine off the internet, but it’s also key to make sure you’re getting your information from the right people when it comes to health.

Metro.co.uk spoke to Dr Donald Grant, GP and senior clinical advisor at The Independent Pharmacy, to find out more about the trend – and whether it is a legitimate health condition.
