HoneyBaked expanding its footprint in Mass. with new stores in Worcester, Eastern Mass. [Video]

The HoneyBaked Ham Company is set to more than double the number of locations it has in Massachusetts, with four new locations coming to the Bay State: in Springfield, Worcester and Eastern Massachusetts.

All four locations are being opened by Tom McGwire, a great-grandson of the brand’s founder, Harry Hoenselaar. The locations in Worcester and Eastern Massachusetts were announced last month, while the Springfield location was part of a deal announced last fall, according to a pair of press releases from the company.

McGwire already owns two existing locations in Connecticut and has plans to open two Rhode Island stores.

In a statement announcing the new locations, McGwire reflected on the role the brand has played in his family, saying he was “thrilled to continue growing its legacy.”
