Charlotte FCs back to school kickoff [Video]

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) – Charlotte FC is helping kids get ready for classes with their back to school kickoff.

Dustin Swinehart, Charlotte FC’s director of community engagement, shared some details about their annual back to school kickoff happening this weekend.

Charlotte FC and club partners will come together to host 250 families ahead of the school year. These families come from Title 1 elementary schools and encourage equity across underserved communities in Charlotte.

Each child will receive:

• Uniform apparel items for their school day fits
• Shoes for a healthy & active lifestyle
• Books for their home library on their favorite topics
• School supplies & a backpack to prepare for a new grade
• Haircuts for a fresh look on the first day of school
• Fresh produce for nutritious & delicious options
