DANIEL WIFFEN is planning to party for three days after the best and worst experience of his life.
The 800m Olympic champion and 1500m bronze medallist entered this morning’s 10km open water swim with hopes of claiming a third medal of the Games.
That seemed optimistic as he had never competed in this event before and so it proved with the Armagh man coming in 18th in a time of 1:57.20.
But, given what he had already achieved in the pool, there was no cause for regret after an eye-opening experience in the River Seine.
