The actions of far-right rioters have instilled fear across the nation, particularly among ethnic minority communities.

Many are too frightened to venture outside, worried about the prospect of a racially charged assault. Yet, not all could evade the chaos as they returned home.

Theresa Oga, known on social media as @rilafricanquin, found herself in a dangerous situation when she disembarked at Plymouth station during escalating riots. Intending to return from Bristol earlier, train delays meant her arrival was later than planned.

As she made her way home, she could see and hear the aggressive scenes just streets away and tried to take a different route home. But the violence was heard getting closer and she started to panic.

Captured on video, she is seen running, voicing her desperation to reach safety, saying, “I just want to get home”. She added: “I am so scared. Okay, now I’m seeing people from the protest coming. Oh my God, oh my God, help me.”
