Mobius Discovery Center educating kids about wildfire safety | News [Video]

SPOKANE, Washington- Each year, wildfires cause extensive damage to homes and property across the Inland Northwest, highlighting the need for wildfire education. The Mobius Discovery Center is adding kids to the conversation by engaging young minds in wildfire awareness today.

In collaboration with the Lands Council, Spokane Clean Air, and Avista Utilities, the Mobius Discovery Center is hosting a series of interactive demonstrations aimed at teaching children about wildfire risks and prevention methods.

The event is happening Wednesday, August 7 and features hands-on activities designed to make learning about fire safety both fun and informative. Children will have the opportunity to create a hat illustrating the fire danger rating system, assemble an air pollution particle device to take home, and explore the legacy of Smokey the Bear.
