Forqs Big Party to Feature Kevin Scott, James Genus, Chris Morrissey, and Eli Menezes No Treble [Video]

Get ready for a sonic shindig. Forq has announced a new album called Big Party that brings all good vibes. A press release describes its as “sonically wild and wonderfully funky” with a “thrift shop’s worth of zany cultural references.”

“Weird is at the forefront of what we do in Forq,” says the keyboardist and composer Henry Hey. “We play groove-based improvised music. I don’t really think of it as ‘fusion,’ unless we’re talking about fusing Ennio Morricone with gameshow music from the ’70s, classic video-game soundtracks and D’Angelo.”

Forq consists of Hey along with Snarky Puppy guitarist Chris McQueen and drummer Jason “JT” Thomas as well as bassist Kevin Scott, who also holds down the low end for Gov’t Mule and the Warren Haynes Band.
