Woman found shot dead outside Waltham apartment building, DA says [Video]

A woman was found shot dead outside a Waltham apartment building Friday night, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.

Waltham police responded to a parking lot outside an apartment building on Second Avenue around 11:30 p.m., the district attorney’s office said in a press release. At the scene, they found a woman with an apparent gunshot wound.

She was declared dead at the scene, the district attorney’s office said. No arrests in the case have been announced.

Authorities are actively investigating the shooting, the district attorney’s office said. Anyone who saw anything unusual in that area early Friday morning is “urged” to call Waltham police.
