Del Valle ISD unveils new Early College High School [Video]

The new facility is for students seeking careers in manufacturing, engineering and computer science. Courses taught at the school will give students an opportunity to earn an associate degree while attending high school.

“This is a building which is a building of our future, and it prepares students for specific careers that are aligned with the needs of our community,” said Del Valle ISD Acting Superintendent Jonathan Harris. “It is designed to be a flexible space which is also future-ready, allowing learning for future career paths that we may not even know about yet.”

Also on Saturday, the school district held its annual back-to-school bash, where over 2,000 students got free backpacks.
