Pickup truck and Texas DPS vehicle collide at intersection [Video]

At approximately 9:30 a.m. today, a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper was involved in a crash, according to a press release from the Texas DPS. 

The Trooper was responding to a motor vehicle crash call, traveling eastbound on West University and approaching the intersection of FM 1936 with emergency lights and sirens activated. As the Trooper entered the intersection, a northbound pickup truck on FM 1936 collided with the patrol unit. Both the driver of the pickup truck and the DPS Trooper sustained minor injuries and were transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

The crash is currently under investigation, and no further information was provided.
