AUSTIN, Texas — After a politically tumultuous week in the U.S., President Joe Biden will soon make his way to the Texas capital.

On Tuesday, the White House announced President Biden’s plans to visit Austin on July 29, where he will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act at the LBJ Presidential Library.

The announcement comes after the president formally announced his decision to withdraw from the 2024 race.
