We are nearing the end of our runway styling hacks series, in which Vogue Runway’s Laia Garcia-Furtado and José Criales-Unzueta circle back to our spring 2024 trend reports to test the street-cred of several runway trends.

Last time, we gave the double polo shirt trend a try to, it must be said, little success. Up next: sheer clothes. Everyone loves a naked dress (just ask our SEO team), and yes, billowy fabrics and gossamer layers sound just right for the summer—but not everyone wants to be so easily…seen. Let’s see how we fare this time around.

José Criales-Unzueta: I love this. It’s so chic. I think what makes it is the nonchalance of the shirt untucked. It’s equal parts dressy and risqué, which is what I think makes it work too. That and the shirt buttoned all the way up. Lots of great choices!
