UK MMA fans struggled to stay awake for the UFC 304 main event.

On Saturday night, MMA’s premier promotion returned to Manchester for the first time in eight years and put on an epic card topped by two title fights featuring Tom Aspinall and Leon Edwards.

However, the occasion was somewhat spoiled by its bizarre start time.

UFC 304 didn’t begin until 11pm. The event ran all the way through until 6am on Sunday morning – but not everyone was able to make it to the very end.

They must’ve been tired as the vast majority of the 18,000 people in attendance were cheering on Edwards as he tried to retain his welterweight title.
