Update on Project Resolve in Knowledge Park – Erie News Now [Video]

Back in 2022, Penn State Behrend received $1.5 million for the Center for Manufacturing Competitiveness, part of the school’s Project Resolve.

That project was just named in the New York Times as one that, “could lead to 2025 being a great time to be president, economically speaking.”

Erie County Executive Brenton Davis said the manufacturing industry is only growing throughout the county and Project Resolve is already going to make history.

“This will be the world’s largest and only heavy battery research and development facility, so you look at those niche markets and that is huge, that is how you get Kyocera coming here and buying out Bliley,” Davis said.

With part of the project being funded through ARPA funds, the County Executive is just returning from meeting with White House officials in Florida.

Erie County was just one of seven invited from the entire country.
