Deepening tax structure reform empowers local government development [Video]

The Communist Party of China’s resolution stresses deepening tax structure reform to make taxation systems more conducive to high-quality development, social fairness and building a unified market. Qu Qiang, a fellow at the Belt and Road Research Center under Minzu University of China, says the reform will ensure a balance of tax income between the central and local governments, the latter of which will have a new source of their own income, with more power for their own development.
