WALMART has left a customer furious with the store’s self-checkout system after they were stopped unnecessarily.
The retail giant’s Scan and Go payment method added time to the shopper’s transaction – which defeats the purpose of the self-service checkout change.
A frustrated Walmart shopper shared his experience on social media after he said he was stopped for a receipt check while using the store’s Scan and Go system.
Scan and Go, which is exclusive to Walmart+ subscribers, is supposed to allow customers to shop, pay at self-checkout, and leave the store quickly.
However, the system didn’t stop Walmart greeters from checking the shopper’s receipt – which showed he only bought about $12 worth of items, including envelopes.
