A man in his 60s was found dead Saturday evening after going missing in a Lakeville pond, according to police.
Lakeville officers responded to Long Pond shortly before 5 p.m. after receiving a request from Massachusetts Environmental Police that a dive team and police boat be brought in to help search for a missing man, police said in a press release. The man had reportedly gone missing in the pond earlier that day.
The man was found around 5:45 p.m., police said. Paramedics tried to revive him, but he was soon declared dead.
