Day 1 of the 2nd annual downtown Green Bay ArtFest fills the streets with art vendors [Video]

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The first day of Green Bay ArtFest kicked off on Saturday at 9 a.m.

The two-day event, presented by Nicolet Bank and Green Bay Packaging, transforms downtown into a vibrant hub of creativity. Organized by Downtown Green Bay Inc., Green Bay Art Fest brings art to the heart of the city with art vendors, a color run, live music, food, and hands-on activities.

Event organizers say that everyone is welcome regardless of artistic ability.

”Even if you can only draw stick figures, everyone’s an artist,” says Samantha Mirkes, the marketing manager for Downtown Green Bay Inc. ”Just come down, hang out with your family, it’s a great place to just come and enjoy the nice sun while we have it.”

Day one of the event runs until 8:00 on Saturday and ArtFest reopens Sunday at 10 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. for even more creative fun.
