Rescue One celebrates 10 years of helping animals in need [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Rescue One is a non-profit organization celebrating ten years of rescuing animals in the Springfield area.

Since opening its doors in 2013, the center has rescued and nurtured over 50,000 animals in need and educated the public on responsible pet ownership as it strives to unite pets and owners with their perfect match.

The Rescue One Board President says that beyond simply rescuing animals, “It’s also our mission to educate people in the community about good pet ownership, and provide outreach services to them so that we can help them keep their dog.”

The staff and volunteers at Rescue One holding an event to mark the occasion Sunday, July 21 at Wire Road from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
