Police said the victim had bite marks, scratches and bruises that medical professionals said were not caused by another child.
WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. — A Webster Groves woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
In a court document and on social media, the Webster Groves Police Department said Savana O’Neal, 27, was running an unlicensed in-home daycare.
The department said on May 16, a one-year-old child at the daycare received bite marks, scratches and bruises.
Police said O’Neal claimed she was in the bathroom for 5-7 minutes and when she came out, another child was standing on the victim’s head.
Police added that the victim was treated at a children’s hospital and that medical professionals stated the injuries were not caused by a child.
