Gadsden state increasing tuition rates in the fall [Video]

GADSDEN, Ala. (WBRC) – Gadsden State Community College is raising building and tuition fees. President Dr. Kathy Murphy says sometimes she has to make tough decisions but it’s always what’s best for Gadsden State.

With an $8 building fee and a standard $2 tuition fee, Gadsden State students will now see a $10 increase per credit hour this fall semester.

“Gadsden State tuition is $178 dollars per credit hours, and when you look at that compared to our four-year institutions, that’s an exceptionally reasonable fee for a quality education,” said Dr. Murphy.

The building fee provides funds for improvement to facilities. Dr. Murphy says improving the infrastructure at Gadsden State enhances the overall educational environment.
