African grey parrot welcomes Pepper, the foul-mouthed parrot [Video]

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Niagara SPCA introduced Pepper, a potty-mouthed parrot, to the world last month.

That one, fun social media post led to over 400 inquiries about Pepper, and a ton of vetting, as the animal shelter attempted to find a new home for the bird.

Pepper now has one.

“Pepper found his sanctuary in a local Olean home with a an African Grey parrot named Shelby, who makes Pepper look like a saint,” Niagara SPCA said this past weekend.

Whether Pepper would stay in Western New York wasn’t necessarily a given. People from across the county reached out to ask about the parrot, and some of them interviewed the Niagara SPCA when it narrowed the field to 10 finalists.

Pepper was officially adopted Thursday morning by his adopters, Tiffany and Tim.
