County, city officials looking for community input on opioid settlement funds [Video]

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Opioid settlement funds are being awarded as part of a litigation brought by states and local political subdivisions against pharmaceutical distributors that inflicted damages through marketing and misuse of synthetic opioids.

Bernalillo County and the City of Albuquerque announced a community engagement plan to gather public input for a plan on how to use funds from opioid related litigation settlements. The first meeting is scheduled for July 17, at Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The goal of the meetings is to get community input, increase engagement, include the community in the planning process and create a report from community feedback to be shared with leaders.
