BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET ) — The partnership between the Bakersfield Police Department and the California Highway Patrol, announced this year by Governor Newsom, has resulted in the arrest of almost 700 people and received nearly 300 stolen cars for auto and retail thefts.
Bakersfield Police Chief Greg Terry, says the results since the partnership was announced have demonstrated ‘more’ action being taken.
With arrests increasing and more officers on the road responding to these crimes, Chief Terry would like to tell city officials how there is a visible change in the decrease of retail theft and other crimes.
Chief Terry discusses more about theft, reported crimes, retailers not reporting crime, and much more.
