Normal Police K-9 retiring after more than 7 years [Video]

NORMAL (25News Now) – The police K-9 credited with the largest methamphetamine seizure in the history of the Normal Police Department is retiring.

Normal Police said K-9 Thor is retiring from the department after more than seven years serving the people of Normal and McLean County.

Both Thor and handler Officer Shane Bachman have won numerous awards and have helped most law enforcement agencies in the county in narcotics detection, suspect apprehension and article searches, according to the department.
