HOUSTON – Beryl left a trail of destruction across Southeast Texas, causing significant damage and prompting emergency responses.
Beryl made landfall near Matagorda early Monday morning as a Category 1 hurricane but has since weakened to a tropical storm.
Communities across the Houston area have reported widespread debris on roads, flooding, and structural damage to homes and buildings.
The storm’s powerful winds resulted in widespread power outages and failures of traffic signals.
