Taya Gaukrodger (formerly known as Smith), a prominent member of the platinum-selling Hillsong UNITED, has made a public announcement on social media regarding her resignation from Hillsong Church. Describing the news as “bittersweet,” Taya shared a heartfelt message reflecting on her decade-long tenure as a staff member at Hillsong Church.

She acknowledged that her resignation coincided with the release of the anniversary edition of UNITED’s Zion album, which includes new renditions of the beloved CCM classic “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” a song she has led. “Oceans” was originally released in 2013 and went on to achieve remarkable success, holding the No.1 position on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart for an unprecedented 61 consecutive weeks.
