One dead after collision in Reeves County [Video]

The crash occurred on IH-20 Eastbound near mile marker 47.

REEVES COUNTY, Texas — On July 1, at 3:56 p.m., a crash occurred on IH-20 Eastbound near mile marker 47 in Reeves County. The collision involved two vehicles: a 2023 Jeep Compass and a 2019 Kenworth T3. 

The driver of the Jeep Compass, Mary Susan Gano, 79, of Riesel, Texas was pronounced dead after being transported to Reeves Regional Hospital. 

The driver of the Kenworth T3, Robert Raymond Lalum, 60, of Midland did not have any injuries. 

According to the press release, The Kenworth T3 was stationary in the eastbound left lane when the Jeep was traveling in the right lane and then made a lane change, colliding with the rear of the Kenworth.

The incident is currently under investigation, no further information was provided.
