The Piercetown Fire Department responded to a golf cart fire near Williamston, South Carolina.On Thursday, July 4, around 2 p.m., two teenage boys were in a golf cart on Shackleburg Road near Walker Road when they saw smoke coming from the motor and battery, officials said.The teenagers lifted up the seat to investigate when the fire flared up. Bystanders tried to assist the teens with a hose, but could not control the fire. The fire department was called and no one was injured, the Piercetown Fire Department says.
